General Conditions of Sale Breguet Lettres SA
1 Orders
When you place an order on this website, you commit to buy the products you have chosen in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter GTCS).
2 Order confirmation
Orders placed on this website shall only constitute a legally binding contract when a written confirmation is received from Breguet Lettres. The said confirmation may be sent in either a paper or electronic format but must use customary means of communication.
3 Prices
All prices are deemed to be per article and in Swiss francs (SFr. or CHF), but shall exclude VAT, shipping and packaging.
4 Payment method
Breguet Lettres Online Shopping customers may pay for their purchases using :
- Postcard, PostFinance direct debit card
- Credit cards (VISA or Mastercard)
- Paypal
5 Delivery
Packages are delivered by the Swiss Postal Service. Delivery charges are billed in addition to the value of the order in line with Swiss Postal Service rates.
6 Delivery and shipping times
Our terms and conditions of delivery are valid in Switzerland and in the Principality of Liechtenstein.
60 and 61 typefaces in C/A patina are in stock and are generally shipped on the next working day after the order is received.
The other types of letters and patinas are shipped within 3 working days.
Anodised aluminium products (anodisation) are shipped within 10 working days.
We have the most common ornaments in stock. They are shipped within 3 working days. Ornaments that are not in stock are shipped within 15 to 20 working days. Please contact Breguet Lettres SA to find out whether an ornament is in stock.
7 Delivery and billing addresses
All orders that are confirmed by Breguet Lettres shall be delivered to the address indicated on the order. The delivery address may be different to the billing address. The said addresses may be changed at any time in your account or when your order.
8 Inspection of the goods
It is up to you to carefully verify the quantity and good condition of the goods when they are delivered.
If you find that the goods have been damaged or that the quantities delivered do not correspond to the order, you must inform the carrier (The Swiss Postal Service) and file a complaint, and also inform Breguet Lettres within 7 days after the delivery date. Breguet Lettres shall replace the missing or damaged goods with identical ones.
9 Returns
Each order is manufactured in line with the customer’s specific request. There is a number of size, patina and fixing combinations which make the product unique. As a consequence, returns are subject to certain conditions.
You may return goods within 14 days from the date of delivery with the exception of aluminium ornaments and letters.
The sale price of 60 and 61 typefaces in C/A patina is refunded in full.
30 % of the sale price of other typefaces and ornaments is refunded.
Breguet Lettres shall only accept returns if they are in good condition and in their original packaging, and sent with the invoice's copy.
When returns are sent back as indicated above, Breguet Lettres shall refund the price of the goods and the delivery charges that have been billed within 30 days from the date of receipt of the returned goods. The costs of returning the goods shall be paid by the customer.
10 Quality warranty
The Breguet Lettres quality warranty ensures you receive top-quality products or their free replacement if, despite our numerous quality checks, they are found to be unsatisfactory.
Where applicable, you should merely return the defective product indicating the problem found in writing to Breguet Lettres SA, P.O. Box 4228, 6 Rue Feldeck, CH-2500 Biel/Bienne 4, Switzerland.

12 Right to access the website
You are entitled to access and use the website for your own personal needs but you may not, under any circumstances, use the website or all its content for business, publishing or advertising purposes or for any or all activity that may be damaging for us, without our written consent. Persons who fail to comply with this provision shall be prosecuted.
13 Governing law
All the clauses in these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, as well as all the purchase and sale transactions that are stipulated therein, are governed by Swiss law.
14 Personal data protection
Irrespective of the type of personal data that is brought to our attention, we hereby commit to do our utmost to keep them strictly confidential, to protect them and only to use them to fulfil your orders and requests, and to improve the services that may be offered to you on the website or to inform you about changes to the said services.
You may nevertheless exercise your right to access, correct or delete the said data at any time via your customer account or by sending us an email.
15 Cases of force majeure
Breguet Lettres shall do its utmost to perform its obligations but shall not be held liable for any delays or failure to deliver due to circumstances that are beyond its control, such as strikes, wars, natural catastrophes or other events of any kind which prevent the products from being manufactured, carried or delivered.
In the event of a delay, Breguet Lettres shall perform its obligations as soon as possible and hereby reserves the right to distribute the remaining stocks of products between its customers fairly.
16 Place of jurisdiction
The place of jurisdiction shall be located at the domicile of Breguet Lettres SA, in Bienne, Switzerland.
